Allow me to begin this post as if I have been writing consistently on this blog. No apologies or explanations for going on hiatus, just writing.
I am quite grateful that my children are taken by Sesame Street while I steal a few minutes to write. I promise it’s only been 10 minutes since, it’s over by the time I’m finished with this writing.
Okay, since I have almost abandoned the blog, I am guessing no one would actually read this, unless I post it on my Facebook wall or share it on my social media. So I will just let this sit here, no promotion whatsoever until I have really written something someone will want to read.
Truth is, I want to make sure my writing won’t grow dull, and I’ve read somewhere that to get better in a skill you want to master, you have to spend 10,000 hours or more doing that. And so far today, I have made progress with…5 minutes. Ah, but I will get there.
I am still finding my niche in blogging. For a time, I was really contemplating if I should go down the mommy blogger route, as it won’t be as hard for me to write about all things mothering as this is the season I am in now. But then again, I’d be drowned out by so many mommy bloggers, who are so consistent with blogging and are awesome at motherhood {I shall publish that draft pretty soon}. So, another mommy blogger? Well, let’s see what this blog becomes in, say, 10 regular posts. Haha!
Basically, all these are scattered thoughts. Just want to awaken the desire to blog again. Not for anyone else {but of course, readers must be factored in} but really for me and my writing.
I believe if there’s something you would like to achieve, no matter how far you are from that goal, all you have to do is start somewhere. And I’m starting here.
but I have you in my feed reader, so I don’t need you to promote it for me to see it! Baby steps, Normi, baby steps! :) here I am watching you find your way :)
Hahaha, naku salamat! :P Yes, baby steps. Recently read a concept on slow blogging…yep, definitely slow blogging now, but soon I will get the groove back. Thank you for the encouragement. :*
Welcome back! Haha. Mommy route na yan because I really believe that’s your true calling :)
I think for most bloggers, unless they do it for a living, really write about the current season of their lives—and writing about motherhood just comes so naturally for me. But this is to hoping my readership won’t be limited to mothers only.
Only time will tell what kind of slant this blog will lean to… abangan. HAHAHA! Here’s to reviving our blogging mojo! :D
